Board of Governors Fee Waiver (BOGFW) Information

The Board of Governors Fee Waiver (BOGFW) is a program that provides assistance to cover community college enrollment fees.

For eligible California residents, the California Community Colleges Board of Governors (BOGFW) Fee Waiver permits enrollment fees to be waived. (Assistance for the purchase of books and supplies must be applied for separately.) It pays for your classes.

Many California community colleges offer online BOG Fee Waiver applications through CCCApply.
When you use these financial aid online applications, the data you've entered in CCCApply will be transferred automatically, making your financial aid application much easier and faster.
To be eligible, you must be a California resident and must qualify under one of the following conditions:

A. You or your parents must currently be receiving AFDC (Aid to Families with Dependent Children, or SSI/SSP (Supplemental Social Security Income/State Supplementary Program) or General Assistance/General Relief, or you are a disabled veteran or a dependent of a deceased or disabled veteran as certified by the Department of Veterans Affairs. or
